a culinary roadtrip with Thierry Marx and Bocuse, the ticket office is open

The meeting, imagined by Nomad Kitchens, has grown in 5 editions, to the point of becoming, with 35,000 visitors, the largest cooking festival in France. The 6th Lyon street food festival becomes summer, and on the theme of the roadtrip, it will take up residence from June 23 to 27 at the old Fagor-Brandt factories (Lyon 7th).

The program, unveiled this Thursday (with opening of the ticket office in stride, at 6 p.m.), sends pâté as they say, in any case heavy: 120 chefs (who represent 21 stars) with Thierry Marx as godfather-mentor ( he will make an exclusive recipe on site), enticing destinations (Asia, Portugal, Basque Country), 80 cultural performances, 300 participatory workshops, 30,000 m² of staged spaces that will take visitors from an authentic Asian night market to a biergarten through a return to the 80s and a circus of the 30s, concerts (French 79, Kid Francescoli, battle evening with the Pockemon Crew…).

New spaces, dedicated to chefs, children, producers… have been imagined, and the LSF has decided to get involved in a major post-covid problem: the difficulty for chefs to recruit staff. Many will testify, with the hope of creating vocations.

A Bocuse quenelle at 5 euros

You will be able to meet chefs from Lyon and from much further afield, or seen on TV (Wilfried Romain who has just left “Top Chef” or the Best Pastry Chef).

Another event: the presence of the Paul-Bocuse restaurant team, who dared to bet on street-food: for 5 euros, you can taste their (incredible) quenelle stuffed with lobster in champagne sauce or their sweet donut . Also, don’t miss the dessert signed by Sébastien Bouillet exclusively: “Ice-Ice Bouillet” (like the Vanilla Ice song), a toasted brioche filled with vanilla ice cream… The Lyon street food festival has found the recipe.
