Google has formalized the existence of its very first connected watch, the Google Pixel Watch, which will arrive at the same time as the Pixel 7 this fall.

The Google Pixel Watch has been the subject of countless leaks in recent months. It was logically expected with firm footing during Google I/O 2022. Good news: the Mountain View firm was quick to reveal the first elements about it, without revealing its entire file either. technical.

Regarding its launch, this connected watch will be available at the same time as the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, this fall. In terms of design, we therefore find this screen both round and curved, as the sounds of the hallway had already suggested. The whole thing is completed with a crown.

Maps, Wallet and Report Assistant

Above all, this Pixel Watch will integrate a wide range of Google services and applications, from Assistant to Google Wallet (to pay at the restaurant for example) via Google Maps to find your way around a city. The American group promises a smooth browsing experience and smart notifications, without saying more about it.

Managing your home automation from your wrist will also be possible: for example, you can turn your connected bulb off or on directly from the watch interface. Handy, if you’re used to losing your phone in bed. The idea being: everything will be even more within reach.

Fitbit at the heart of the experience

The Californian firm also mentions a deep integration of Fitbit for activity monitoring. And for now, that’s all there is to get your teeth into. Google promises to tell us more about it before its release this fall.

The Google I/O was also an opportunity to present lots of new Android 13 features for Bluetooth headsets and wireless headphones, but also an interface specially designed for tablets as well as a completely redesigned Google Wallet.
