Navas pushed towards exit, Areola towards a permanent transfer to West Ham

According to L’Équipe, PSG have decided to keep Gianluigi Donnarumma as number one goalkeeper next season and want to part with Keylor Navas, Sergio Rico, Marcin Bulka and Alphonse Areola, who will definitely be transferred for a little more of €10 million.

The cohabitation between Gianluigi Donnarumma and Keylor Navas in the PSG cages will not continue next season. According to L’Équipe, the Parisian club wants to consolidate Donnarumma in the position of number one in the hierarchy, thus pushing Navas towards the exit this summer, while he still has two years left on his contract. The Costa Rican is valued at €10 million by the sports daily, which specifies that the former Real Madrid player with a high salary (around €1 million gross) “will not go anywhere, under the pretext of satisfying Parisian wishes”.

PSG wants to clean up its goalkeepers

Anyway, PSG seems to have made its choice and does not intend to stop there. Still according to the same source, the club of the French capital also wishes to separate definitively this summer from Sergio Rico (2024), Marcin Bulka (2025) and Alphonse Areola (2023).

  • Loaned to Mallorca last January, Rico (28) did not convince the Spanish club and will therefore return to Paris at the end of the season. Before being transferred elsewhere? In any case, this is the wish of the leaders of PSG.
  • Loaned to Nice for the entire season, Bulka (22) should continue the adventure on the Côte d’Azur. According to L’Équipe, the Gym wishes to exercise the option to buy the Polish goalkeeper and will pay around €2 million to PSG.
  • Loaned to West Ham for the entire season, Areola (29 years old) should also be part of the long term with the Hammers. According to L’Équipe, the English club wants to exercise the option to buy the French goalkeeper and will pay just over €10 million to PSG.

As a reminder, PSG still has five other goalkeepers under professional contract: Alexandre Letellier (31 years old, 2022) – Lucas Lavallee (19 years old, 2025) – Denis Franchi (19 years old, 2023) – Mathyas Randriamamy (19 years old, 2024) – Garissone Innocent (22 years old, 2023).
