Tesla again increases the price of its Model 3 sedan, which is placed just below €45,000 to benefit from the bonus… unless you choose an option or another version!
Tesla is reviewing the prices of its Model 3, which is one of the best-selling models in Europe. The sedan started until now at 43,800 € in basic version, but suffers a nice inflation with 1,190 € more now. Thus, it is placed at €44,990 at entry-level propulsion, just the limit to access the ecological bonus. Indeed, to benefit from the maximum bonus (€6,000 until July 1, 2022), the total cost of the vehicle must be below €45,000. Between €45,000 and €60,000, it is halved, while vehicles above €60,000 are not entitled to any aid.
No more maximum bonus as soon as you take an option
Thereby, the Model 3 starts at €44,990 without options, but exceeds the threshold of €45,000 for the ecological bonus when choosing metallic paint, 19-inch rims or a white interior (€1,190 for each option). Improved Autopilot (€3,800) and fully autonomous driving (€7,500) raise the price even further. Thus, the Model 3 only benefits from a bonus reduced by half (€ 3,000 until July 1, 2022) if the buyer selects one of the options on the basic version.
The two-engine Long Autonomy (602 km, 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 s) and Performance (547 km autonomy, 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 s) versions are not subject to an increase . The first had already increased at the end of the year, and is still displayed at €55,990. The second, Performance, is available from €59,990.
