What is it about ? “In the sky of Arcachon, a table of 22 people is suspended in the air, explains the Arcachon Tourisme Facebook page. In the center of the table is a kitchen area allowing the Chefs to prepare and serve, in front of you, an exceptional meal. »
Which leaders will be present? Locals: Stéphane Carrade, the starred chef of the Skiff Club, Thierry Renou, that of the Patio, Brice Tomico, of Saint-Ferdinand, Olivier Pemerle, of Chez Pierre, Greg Colantuono of Bistrot 50. Five pastry chefs and chocolate makers also take part in the event: Hasnaâ, Benoît Audebert, Pierre Mirgalet, Antony Prunet and Mathieu Guignard.
During these four days, there will be, if we count correctly, each day, two lunches, three gourmet breaks and two dinners. In total, 770 people “will be able to taste refined dishes with their heads in the clouds”, explains Arcachon Tourisme.
But beware, all this is not free. It is even high gastronomy that is paid for: 265 euros for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. (appetizer, starter, main course, dessert, wine, coffee); 75 euros per tasting from 3:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. or from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. or from 6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. (pastries and/or chocolates, wines or soft drinks); 295 euros for dinner from 7:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. or from 9:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. (appetizer, starter, main course, dessert, wine, coffee).
You have to book, of course.
The concept is the fruit of the imagination of a Belgian communication agency with a name directly inherited from the Disney universe, Hakuna Matata. The first “Dinner in the sky” took place in 2006 with 22 young European chefs.
