A reflection has been launched for several months to consume differently by prioritizing local circuits on the scale of the LaFrançaisain country.
Since the end of 2021, the community of communes Coteaux et Plaines du pays lafrancaisain has been in the reflection phase to implement a regional food project. In general, this project contributes to diversifying and developing local agricultural production and to promoting a more responsible and sustainable mode of consumption.
A working group made up of farmers, elected officials, consumers and community agents is participating in the development of a food strategy with the support of Adefpat. Consumers in the Pays LaFrançaisain are invited to answer an online questionnaire: do you live in the Pays LaFrançaisain or do you work there and are you interested in the food issue? You can answer the questionnaire dedicated to your mode of consumption until June 3 (see the link below).

At the same time, the Chamber of Agriculture is also committed to a departmental food project approach, in partnership with the departmental council and agricultural education (Eplefpa de Tarn-et-Garonne). Its purpose is to structure and promote the agricultural production of Tarn-et-Garonne, in particular by creating a link between the producers and the consumers of the territory. And farmers in Tarn-et-Garonne are also solicited: this month, they can participate in the progress of the project by answering an online questionnaire.
